Auto Presentation

Hello! I am Ekaterina Osichkina, a passionate ski-mountaineering and sky-running athlete from Kamchatka peninsula (Russia), living and training in Bansko (Bulgaria). I have been doing sport since the very early childhood thanks to my beloved mother - a talented cross-country skier and ski-mountaineer in the past. I practiced successfully the cross-country skiing and biathlon and in 2012 I tried ski-mountaineering and fell in love with this sport! In 2014 I participated in my first international ski-mo event (European Championship in Andorra), where I won my first gold medal and from where my ski-mo career began. Later on, I took part in plenty of international ski-mo events and competitions, helped to the Russian Ski-Mountaineering Committee, worked in the ISMF as the "athletes' representative", attended the Plenary Assembly 2020 in Turkey, participated in the YOG 2020 as the "athlete role model". For the moment, I live, train and study in "the place of my dreams" - in the town Bansko (Bulgaria). Currently I am a student of the American University in Bulgaria. I speak Russian, English and study Bulgarian. I adore traveling, communicating with people, studying, cooking, reading...

Passions

My biggest passions are ski-mountaineering and sky-running. I love the feeling of being able to ski or run for a long time in the mountains, challenging myself, expanding the limits, exploring the terrain and enjoying the astonishing beauty of nature! Besides, I adore to compete, to realize my capacity, to win the medals and titles and to overcome the difficulties.

Incoming Projects

My ultimate goal is to win the Olympic Games in the ski-mountaineering sport. In addition, I wish to participate in as many competitions as possible (especially in LGC), to win the titles and to make the World records.

Out Of Seasons Training

For the preparation I do lots of mountain running, road cycling and roller skiing. When possible, I take the opportunity to be on skis. In addition, I practice power, technique, balance and recovery exercises.

Apparels

Among the rich and diverse collection of the Ski Trab products, which I do use and enjoy at every single training and competition, I would like to point out the skis Gara Aero World Cup 60 and the Gara Aero Sprint, the bindings Gara Titan World Cup, the World Cup backpack, the helmet Gara.2 and the skins Gara World Cup.
